Uniforms
Requirements for all classes:
Students MUST always have their hair up and held in place. Buns for ballet and up and out of the way for all other genres. This is important to minimise distraction whilst the students are dancing and teach grooming
Students should also wear clean tights and their uniform leotard to all ballet classes and NPDA uniform attire for any commercial classes.
Ballet Uniform
For all Ballet Classses-
All students must wear leotards to ballet. Ballet students should have a secure bun held with a hair net, French pins, and bobby pins to secure fringes and loose ends. Grooming is particularly important for ballet and part of the discipline for classical ballet world-wide.
Ballet Belts -
Available for purchase at reception at NPDA is our custom ‘Vagavova’ elastic belt.
Baby Ballet
Any dance attire either in white or pink. Ballet shoes with socks. Hair up off the face and neck if possible. Pretty hair accessories can be worn.
Pre-primary & Primary
- Studio 7 pale pink camisole leotard
- Studio 7 pale pink premium long circle skirt
- Pink elastic belt (available only at NPDA)
- Ballet shoes with elastics
- Ballet socks or tights
- Hair in a bun with matching hair ribbon or flowers

Prep Level 1 & Level 1

- Demi pointes for training purposes
Level 4

Level 5

Senior Level
Dance de Paris Black Leotard , Black belt, black tutu, theatrical pink ballet tights, demi-pointes and pointe shoes, hair must be in a bun with matching hair accessory. (Cross overs for winter.) Black tutu
Excellence Level
Black leotard, black tutu, ballet tights, pointe shoes, cross overs for winter
Pointe & Pre-Pointe
Any pastel coloured leotard, ballet tights and pointe shoes. NO skirts please. Demi-Pointes for Pre-Pointe. Going en pointe must be approved by Michelle prior to purchasing pointe shoes.

Commercial Classes
Jazz
NEW NPDA branded Cosi G crops and bike pants. Black jazz shoes with black socks. Hair must be up for every class in a ponytail. Matching hair ribbon or scrunchie can be worn.
2. Lyrical & Contemporary
Jnrs - Pink, Black or White dance attire
Intermediate & Seniors - All black dance attire – foot thongs or soft half shoes. (energetiks pivot 360)
3. Hip hop
Anything fun and cool. Any dance attire with trainers.
Think hip hop big and baggy.
4. Acro
All black dance attire, bare feet. Hair must be up. Knee pads.

Please have available black and tan jazz shoes in the event that we may need to change the colour for competitions.
